Where we work
We work across North Georgia. We came up on commercial grading and utility jobs, so we've dealt with plenty of red clay, steep lots, and water that won't go where you want it to.

How this started
I'm Caleb. Before North Georgia Earthworks, I worked on commercial jobs doing irrigation, grading, and underground utilities. On those jobs, if the base isn't right or the water has nowhere to go, it fails and somebody has to come back and tear it out. I started this company to keep doing that kind of work, for contractors and businesses as well as homeowners.
So I pay attention to the stuff you won't see when the job's done: the base stone, the compaction, the slope, where the water goes. That's what decides whether a pad holds up, a lot stays flat, or a yard dries out after a rain instead of staying soggy for a week.
We work for general contractors, builders, property managers, and homeowners across North Georgia. You'll get one price, we'll show up when we say we will, and if something we built isn't right, we'll come back and fix it.
Integrity
We'll tell you what you actually need, even when that's the cheaper option, and we'll do what we said we'd do.
Quality
Level, clean, and built right underneath, including the parts that end up buried.
Respect
It's your home or your business. We keep the site clean, watch where the equipment goes, and don't leave a mess behind.

Aeration & Overseeding
Georgia clay packs down hard, especially where people and dogs walk. Aerating pulls plugs out so water and air can get to the roots, and if you have fescue, it's the best time to put seed down on the thin spots.
What's included
Not every job needs all of this. Your estimate lists exactly what we're doing.
- Core aeration
- Overseeding for fescue lawns
- Seed selection for sun and shade
- Topdressing
- Watering guidance for germination
Commercial and residential
What we usually get called for.
Commercial
Yearly aeration for lawns that get walked on a lot.
- Office and campus lawns
- HOA common areas
- Parks and athletic areas
Residential
A thicker, greener lawn that holds up better to summer heat and foot traffic.
- Fall aeration and overseeding for fescue
- Early-summer aeration for bermuda and zoysia
- Thin and patchy lawns

Check in each season
We adjust as the seasons change, and if we see a problem like a dead shrub or a broken head, we tell you.
Common questions
Have a different question? Call or text 470-864-9691.
When should I aerate?
Fescue does best in early fall. Bermuda and zoysia do best in late spring to early summer when they're actively growing.
Should I leave the plugs?
Yes. They break down in a couple of weeks and return soil to the surface.

Drainage Solutions
Red clay doesn't soak up much water, so it runs wherever the ground sends it: under the slab, into the crawlspace, or across the yard. We figure out where it's coming from and give it somewhere better to go.
What's included
Not every job needs all of this. Your estimate lists exactly what we're doing.
- French drains and trench drains
- Downspout extensions and underground lines
- Catch basins and pop-up emitters
- Dry creek beds
- Regrading around foundations

Walk the property

You get one written price for the whole job. If something changes once we're in the ground, we talk to you before we do it.
Do the work
We build it the way we said we would, clean up as we go, and keep you posted.
Final walk-through
When we're done, we walk it with you, go over care and warranty, and fix anything that isn't right.
Common questions
Have a different question? Call or text 470-864-9691.
How do you figure out where the water comes from?
We walk the property, look at grades, downspouts, and soil, and often come back during or after a rain to see it move.
Is a French drain always the answer?
No. Sometimes regrading or rerouting downspouts solves it for far less. We recommend the simplest fix that works.

Why is part of my lawn dry even with irrigation?
Usually a clogged or misaligned head, a failed valve, or zones mixing sprays and rotors. A coverage check finds it quickly.
Do I need to winterize in Georgia?
We get enough hard freezes that protecting the backflow and exposed pipe is worth doing. We'll tell you what your system needs.

How long does a paver patio take?
Most residential patios take three to seven working days once materials are on site, depending on size, access, and whether steps or walls are involved.
Do pavers need to be sealed?
Sealing isn't required, but it helps with color, stain resistance, and keeping joint sand in place. We'll tell you honestly whether it's worth it for your stone.
Can you fix pavers that have sunk?
Yes. We pull the affected area, correct the base, and reset the existing pavers so the repair matches.

On a sloped lot, a retaining wall can turn a hill you can't use into flat ground you can. We build block and natural stone walls with the drainage stone, pipe, and geogrid behind them that keep them standing.

Common questions

Does my wall need an engineer?
Taller walls, or walls holding back a driveway or structure, often need an engineered design. We'll flag it early and can work with your engineer's plans.
Why do retaining walls fail?
Almost always water. Without drainage stone and an outlet behind the wall, water pressure builds up and pushes it over. We build that in from the start.
Block or natural stone?
Block is more predictable for height and cost. Natural stone has a more organic look. We'll show you both for your site.

How many leaf visits do I need?
Most wooded lots in our area need two to three visits through fall to keep up.
Do you haul the leaves away?
Yes, debris is removed from the property unless you'd like it left for compost.

Shrub & Tree Pruning
Cut at the wrong time or the wrong way, shrubs get leggy and stop blooming. We shape hedges, thin out shrubs, and limb up small trees so they stay healthy and don't swallow the house.
What's included
Not every job needs all of this. Your estimate lists exactly what we're doing.
- Hedge and shrub shaping
- Hand pruning of ornamentals
- Crape myrtle pruning (no topping)
- Small tree limbing and lifting
- Removal of dead or overgrown plants
- Debris removal and cleanup
Commercial and residential
What we usually get called for.
Commercial
Clean sight lines, clear walkways, and tidy plantings across the property.
- Hedge maintenance
- Sight-line and sign clearance
- Walkway and parking lot clearance
Residential
Shrubs that frame windows instead of covering them, and trees that are healthy and well shaped.
- Seasonal shrub trimming
- Overgrown landscape rehab
- Ornamental tree care

When should shrubs be pruned?
It depends on when they bloom. Spring bloomers are pruned after flowering; many evergreens are best shaped in late spring and early summer.
Do you remove large trees?
Large tree removal is best handled by a certified arborist. We'll refer you to one we trust.

Sod Installation
Sod looks great the day it goes down. Whether it's still alive in August depends on the prep. We pull the old turf, grade it so water runs off, work the soil, and lay fresh-cut sod tight with no gaps.
What's included
Not every job needs all of this. Your estimate lists exactly what we're doing.
- Removal of existing turf and weeds
- Fine grading and soil preparation
- Soil testing and amendments
- Bermuda, zoysia, centipede, and fescue sod
- Rolling and initial watering
- Watering schedule and establishment guidance
- Seeding and straw for large or low-traffic areas
Commercial and residential
What we usually get called for.
Commercial
Sod for final stabilization, scheduled around your closeout.
- Commercial and retail frontage
- Subdivision common areas
- Punch-list and final stabilization
Residential
A lawn that's usable within weeks, with the right grass for your sun, shade, and how hard the kids and dogs are on it.
- Full front and back lawn replacement
- Patching bare and damaged areas
- New-construction lawns
How it works
Same way every time.
Walk the property
We come out, go over the plans or what you have in mind, and look at the slope, the soil, where the water runs, and how we'll get equipment in.
Get a price
You get one written price for the whole job. If something changes once we're in the ground, we talk to you before we do it.
Do the work
We build it the way we said we would, clean up as we go, and keep you posted.
Final walk-through
When we're done, we walk it with you, go over care and warranty, and fix anything that isn't right.
Common questions
Have a different question? Call or text 470-864-9691.
Which grass is right for my yard?
Full sun usually means bermuda or zoysia. Heavier shade points to fescue or a shade-tolerant zoysia. We'll recommend based on your site.
How soon can I walk on new sod?
Light foot traffic after about two weeks, and normal use after roots have knitted in, usually three to four weeks in the growing season.
